Mission Statement

MINNESOTA VACATION RENTAL ASSOCIATION is a nonprofit organization that provides information and education for its members to foster support and networking; and is proactive to legislative issues which affect our industry.

Primary Purpose

1. Protect the rights of property owners to rent their homes, condos & townhomes as short-term vacation home rentals. All property owners have the constitutional right to rent their property, to make a living without arbitrary government regulation, to contract with others and to the quiet enjoyment of their property.

2. To protect the rights of consumers who are interested in renting vacation rental homes as tourists.

3. To promote a code of ethics that protects the health and safety of vacation home rental guests and the neighborhood.

4. To provide owners and managers of vacation home rentals with a strong  voice in working  with state and local governments.

5. To enhance and generate ecomomic benefits to owners, managers and the surrounding community.
